"Shinonome" is an ancient Japanese word that means the red sky before dawn, when the world of darkness gives way to the world of light.

Features of the Negative Pressure Room "Shinonome" Series

1. All-in-one and one-of-a-kind negative pressure room

The Shinonome series is a prefabricated, unit-type full-scale negative pressure room that can be freely customized with "front room," "main room," "air conditioner," "pass box," "fan filter unit for air supply and exhaust," and other components.You can create an authentic, one-of-a-kind negative pressure room for indoor or outdoor use.

Sizes

The basic unit is available in either the small size (1.5m width x 1m depth x 2.1m height) or the large size (2.1m width x 1m depth x 2.1m height).
The length of each negative pressure chamber and front chamber can be determined by how many units you choose to connect.The most popular pattern is to connect three units of the small size, one in the front room and two in the negative pressure room, and for the large size, to connect four units, one unit in the front room and three units in the negative pressure room. Some orders include two front rooms + four negative pressure rooms. In this case, the total length is about 6m since there are 6 units in total.

Equipment

Fan filter unit (FFU) for air supply and FFU for exhaust air, air conditioner for negative pressure room, windows, pass boxes, doors, etc. are arranged as requested as much as possible.
Optionally, you can combine rear (patient) door, arm insert, UV lamp system, air conditioner for front room, FFU for front room air supply, FFU for front room exhaust, insulation specification, etc.The position of the door, FFU for air supply, and FFU for exhaust air may be specified arbitrarily to make the best use of the system after installation.

2.Ultra-lightweight & high-strength wall material

The housing is made of "TECCELL board" manufactured by Gifu Plastic Industry.

TECCELL board is ultra-lightweight and high-strength due to its unique honeycomb structure. It is a safe material that is used for automobile parts as well as for bullet trains and airplanes.
The standard model of the Shinonome series, the NPR-01 series, weighs less than 300 kg. No floor reinforcement is required for installation inside a facility, and it can be moved by human power even when installed outdoors.

3.Japan's Finest FFUs Adopted

The FFU (fan filter unit) used in the "Shinonome" series is a custom-made unit manufactured by AIRTECH JAPAN, LTD.

The FFU for exhaust air (negative pressure) is equipped with a custom-made fan filter unit developed exclusively for negative pressure by AIRTECH JAPAN,LTD. A common FFU for negative pressure makes a room smaller because the equipment is installed inside the room. FFUs for negative pressure collect the air in the room, making it the most vulnerable place for contaminants to collect in the room. The custom-made FFUs used in the "Shinonome" series are installed outside the negative-pressure room, making the room (wall surface) flat and making disinfection and cleaning much easier.Even when ultraviolet lamps (optional) are used, they are very effective because it does not cast shadows.
HEPA filters are installed in the air supply and exhaust fan filter units, so both the ventilation air taken into the negative pressure room and the air exhausted to create negative pressure are filtered by the HEPA filters, keeping it clean (and safe).

All Shinonome series are shipped after negative pressure check at the factory.
All series have cleared the ventilation frequency recommended by the U.S. CDC.

Negative Pressure Room NPR-01W (Wide Model)

The NPR-01W can be used not only as an outdoor negative pressure room for "examination," "consultation," and "antibody cocktail" in fever outpatient clinics, etc., but also as a negative pressure isolation bed in a hospital or a private room in a multi-bed room.

*The size and equipment can be customized.

The NPR-01W is sized to accommodate a bed for isolation nursing.

Normally, only one infected patient can be accommodated in a negative pressure room. When renovating a multi-bed room, two or three NPR-01W units can be installed to create a negative pressure room for multiple patients.

*Beds are not included.

*The door width is 94 cm, so stretchers and wheelchairs can be moved in and out without difficulty.

The front chamber is located at the front and rear, and by adding one unit to each, the total length can be extended to total length 7m (2m front chamber + 3m negative pressure chamber + 2m front chamber). The bottom of the main unit is equipped with casters for mobility, so it can be moved around.

② Wide model for outdoor use NPR-01W S

A patient door is installed at the rear where the pass box is located. A set of arm insertion slots is placed on the wall and the door between the front room and negative pressure chamber.

By placing the arm slots facing the negative pressure room, doctors and staff can be placed in the front room, thus avoiding them from entering the same room with patients for examinations, etc., and preventing infection of the staff.

The insertion slot has a sheet with radial incisions so that the arm can be inserted without removing it.

The front rooms are set up on both sides to separate the entrances for staff and patients, improving work efficiency.

Both the front and main rooms are equipped with FFUs for air supply and exhaust, so the front room can be pressurized positively and the main room negatively, or both rooms can be pressurized negatively.
Fully equipped with air conditioning and UV lamps in both the front and main rooms, as well as an arm slot in the door to the main room.

Detailed Explanation of Each Equipment

Front Room

By installing a front room (double doors) before entering the negative pressure room (main room), it is possible to suppress the outflow of viruses from the main room when entering and exiting. Once you enter the front room, close the entrance door and open the door of the main room. Also, by changing clothes in the front room, contaminated protective clothing and face shields can be discarded, preventing secondary infections caused by contaminated protective clothing, etc.

Cooling and Heating Air Conditioner

The "Shinonome Series" is equipped with cooling and heating air conditioners as standard equipment. Enclosed spaces for isolation can be severely hot in summer and cold in winter. The air conditioner used in the "Shinonome Series" is a type without an outdoor unit, so there is no need to worry about the installation location as long as there is a 100V power supply for home use.

Specimen Outlet (BOX Window)

The box window is designed in the same way as the front room (double-door) so that no spatter is released when specimens are taken out of the main room, which is kept under negative pressure, or when test kits are replenished. The box is installed at the backside of the room where the teachers and staff are located, so that they can replenish their supplies or take specimens out of the room without passing through the front room to the outside. There is also a small window above the box window, making it easy to communicate with the staff outside (The installation location can be changed, so please consult with us.)

High-performance Fan Filter Unit

AIRTECH JAPAN, LTD. / Custom-made FFU for negative pressure

The FFU for negative pressure used in Shinonome is the EX model specially developed by AIRTECH JAPAN, LTD. for use in negative pressure rooms. The most commonly seen negative pressure equipment is installed inside the room and blows air to the outside of the room, but the inside of the Shinonome series room is flat and the fan noise is lower than that of the indoor type. What is immediately apparent is that the device is mounted on the outside of the room.

The flat interior makes it easier to clean and disinfect the room. Also, when the optional ultraviolet lamp is used, there is no shadow, so sterilization can be performed more effectively.

Equipped with double fans for intake and exhaust

Double fan unit with HEPA filter is adopted.

The fan filter system is not only for exhaust air (negative pressure). A fan filter unit for air supply (intake) is also installed to take air into the room.

In some cases, negative pressure can be maintained by equipping only a fan filter unit for exhaust air, but in fact, it is necessary to control the intake air as well. If there is no fan filter unit for air intake, air from the surrounding area will enter through gaps such as doors and windows, making it impossible to maintain a safe environment. The fan filter unit for air intake used in the Shinonome series has a HEPA filter, which controls the amount of air entering the negative pressure room and even the air taken in from outside the negative pressure room can be kept clean.
